Our custom Swiss Tree Fort Village built for Indian Head Camp in Pennsylvania.
A Bears Playground was the ideal addition to this kids’ summer camp. Located in the magnificent Endless Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, Indian Head Camp has been providing young people with memorable summers since 1940. With their commitment to putting children in touch with nature, what better choice than a natural playground which blends seamlessly with the forests and the lake on the property.
Bears Playgrounds’ whole log construction gives an organic, wholesome feeling that is striking in appearance, as you can see from the photos at left. Bold, strong, built to last designs, beautifully stained rustic wood and hunter green accents. Bears Playgrounds are designed to compliment the natural setting of Indian Head Camp, and any environment.
We use Natural Materials, like our beautiful, whole, round Northern White Cedar logs with all their natural features. Our cedar logs have a fat end and a skinny end like a tree (instead of a manufactured dowel), they have gorgeous wood grain, checking, knots, crooks, curves, etc. Our Bold, Strong and Built to last architecture beautifies children’s spaces, while capturing a child’s imagination. Our nature inspired products and natural materials help stimulate a child’s enthusiasm for nature. In short, our products facilitate learning, create opportunities for exercise, help build social skills and help provide a unique connection to the great outdoors.
