A Proudest Monkey Tree Fort in the Picnic Shelter area of Watoga State Park, West Virginia. This was one of two Bears Playgrounds built in Watoga State Park; the other, a Swiss Tree Fort Village, was in the Beaver Creek section of the park. This Proudest Monkey Tree Fort nestles peacefully among the trees in its wilderness setting. Largest of all the state parks in West Virginia, Watoga has over 10,000 acres of sprawling woodland filled with a multitude of recreational opportunities. There are over 15 miles of road and 40 miles of hiking paths for enjoying the quiet beauty of the park. On any given day, visitors can spot deer and black bear as well as a plethora of Neo-tropical birds. Bears Playgrounds' signature line of cedar log playgrounds is perhaps the best looking in the Universe, ideally suited for a state park setting. Whole log construction gives an organic, wholesome feeling that is striking in appearance. Bears Playgrounds are designed to compliment any natural setting. With our playgrounds, we have created a "hybrid" or balance between the innocent, natural adventure of playing in the forest and the structure and safety required by today’s standards for children’s spaces. We have been building natural playgrounds since long before it was trendy. And we have always understood that natural, renewable materials are far greener than powder coated steel and plastics. Our expertise in creating children’s outdoor spaces, and experience in log construction, is what makes Bears the perfect choice for transforming your existing space or creating a new space into a Bears Natural Playground. |
