Heavenly Valley Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe, California is arguably one of the finest and most beautiful in the whole world. Many who visit this place never want to leave (myself included). You can imagine how excited we all were when Josh called from the ski school and said "...we love your playgrounds can we work with you to design one for us...." Most of our Hundred Acre Wood designs have a long high bridge from the upper decks but this one has a suspension bridge which I think turned out awesome. There their team added these awesome carved bears.

Josh and his team wanted something that would resemble the ole Fire Watch Towers that are used to spot forest fires out west. Then they designed and constructed this base on which this playground is perched in order to deal with there winter snow depth in the winter.

With our playgrounds, we have created a "hybrid" or balance between the innocent, natural adventure of playing in the forest and the structure for children’s spaces. We have been building natural playgrounds since long before it was trendy. And we have always understood that natural, renewable materials are far greener than powder coated steel and plastics. Not all equipment may be appropriate for all children, even when designed for a target age group. To avoid injury you should closely supervise and participate in the child’s use of this equipment, especially while learning to use it. Proper supervision is required.
